Icom Bezel Size Study
Icom has limited their radio case to several basic sizes. The primary reason for this concept is cost, both in their engineering and also the case supplier’s set up costs.

Here are the know cases, we have listed only the bezel size since we are in the radio rack mount business and are mainly concerned with which radios will fit into which of our racks mounts. Some radios may have slight differences in their depth dimensions, which was not considered in this study.

Different depths may cause a different position in the feet and therefore the mounting hole in our rack trays may not line up with the radio foot placement. If the operator wishes to secure the radio to the tray, new hole may need to be drilled. Without each and every radio at out fingertips, it is impossible to know the exact hole pattern. Holes in the trays will fit the original radio used in the rack mount part number.
